The FAR was activated on 28.03.1958 at Uetersen.
All young Soldiers who want to become pilots were here tested for their ground flying skills. They were trained also in Navigation, Flight Safety and so on. The second task was to make courses for english language for all Luftwaffe personal who needs to use english in their tasks. 1973 the unit moved to Appen. In 1981 the Luftwaffe decided to combine their basic training with the Lufthansa and both installed the course in America. So the FAR was becoming a port of Luftwaffe Training Regiment 1. |
