1.Squadron | JaboG/LeKG 41 | Fighter Bomber Squadron |
History : |
After the changing of the tasks the AG 53 was renamed to LeKG 44 in 1965, but already in 1975
the Wing was deactivated. Instead there was planed to build an reserve unit named JaboG 44 which in time of a crisis should fly from Leipheim AFB. The aircrafts should came from the Training Center at Beja AFB in Portugal and the necessary Personal from the WaSLw 50 at Fürstenfeldbruck. After the German Reunification in 1990 and the following defence cuts the Alpha Jet was deactivated and all Wings which flew this aircraft were deactivated. So the paper existence of the JaboG 44 was finished in 1993. |
